Santonio Holmes Cleared Of Drug Charges

The morning after receiving his Super Bowl ring, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes was the recipient of some good news.

Holmes’ day in court today ended favorably as prosecutors threw out marijuana possession charges against him, according to Daniel Malloy of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“I’m all right,” Holmes said afterward.

Holmes’ case was dropped after prosecutors determined that there wasn’t probable cause for the October 23 traffic stop that eventually triggered the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player being charged after officers discovered a small amount of marijuana in his Range Rover.

Holmes’ lawyer argued that the traffic stop violated Holmes’ Fourth Amendment rights under the U.S. Constitution, calling it an illegal search.

And the assistant district attorney essentially agreed, coming to the conclusion that the case shouldn’t go to trial.

of course it will! what is his deal anyway? he wasn't that good to begin with. yes he leads the nfl in td passes, but he also leads in int's.. anyone can just wing the ball up there and hope your wr comes down with it..

Nah, in his day Brett would always drill that fucker in there!!! That is why IMO this makes him lose his luster!!
