Maybe if he didn't go on the air all the time bitchin about how mgmt. fucks him over, and how they aren't doing their jobs right, he'd get more support from them.

That's the shtick, Howard did it for years even with his BFF Mel Karmazin. I doubt Jay takes it personally. Hell, they were friends before Bubba even worked for him.

Heh. No one should be surprised this talk comes around contract time.

Although Bubba's in a weird spot, too "redneck" or "southern" in some people's eyes, but way too abrasive and too political on the wrong side (in the potential listener's view) for the deep south. I think that's the reasoning behind not putting him on in Birmingham. Tulsa may be a bit too conservative as well.

I wonder what Ted would have to say about that.
