Watched [rec]
it's originally spanish? badly dubbed and it's shot from the perspective of a camera man following a newslady - so it's got the shaky cam effect and makes you feel fucked after watching... but basically it was an alright zombie flick - I think quarantine was a remake of this movie... |

Probably watch Twilight some time before seeing the sequel. My wife likes the book, thought the first film was shit, but still wants to see the sequel. I drag her to enough crap she ended up hating, so it's only fair. Plus, I just love going to the movies.

I watched the following yesterday:
Land of the Lost - better than I imagined it would, but not great. The film's mistake is that they did this tight rope balance between goofy kid's film and raunch. I think they could have just gone to a kid's film and had a hit. But it was a mildly amusing time. Whatever Works - Larry David was great, but this was a rather silly, throw off for Woody Allen. 2 great quotes: "Why does every religious psychotic end up praying at my doorstep?" and "Yes it's true. I have been very patient with your phenomenal ignorance." Drag Me To Hell - proof that Sam Raimi is dead as a director after making the 3 shitty Spiderman films. I'm not a fan of any of those, quite frankly. Not sure why as I like super hero movies. But I digress. This film seemed set up just to have a ton of gross shit enter or come out of the lead actresses' mouth. Some scary moments and I applaud the ending, but for the most part it's by the numbers boredom that is typical of horror films. Also, old gypsy women are gross. |

Last movie I watched, was "Knowing". I'm into those disaster,
"end of the world" type movies. |

Forgot to mention that I finally re-watched "The Wild Bunch" years after seeing it. I didn't appreciate it when I first did (maybe 15 years ago?), but damn if that movie didn't hit me in the gut this time. GREAT film. William Holden, Robert Ryan, Ernest Borgnine and Warren Oates were phenomenal in it. Great, great, great film.
