The chances of buying a hot bike or anything else stolen from a pawn shop these days is gonna be pretty rare. Everything a pawnshop takes in with a serial number is logged into the computer and a pawn detective from the local PD will come by and run stolen numbers through each store's system looking for hits. I worked at a Pawn Shop for a few years and we used to have stuff frozen by the POPO all the time.
